The company

Our company was founded as Vetraria Artistica Bresciana Bontempi e Novaglia in 1908, born from the great passion of two glaziers: Bontempi and Novaglia. Thanks to their knowledge of refined techniques for processing glass, the glassworks quickly became a point of reference in creating artistic stained glass for churches and later specialised in glass decoration, sandblasted mirrors, and the production of glass signs for shops. 

The production facility is located in Via Villa Glori, while the administrative offices and the sales shop are in Piazzetta delle Pescherie Vecchie (photograph above left), which, following the construction of Piazza Vittoria, were moved to Corso Magenta. Between 1908 and 1929, the facility expanded and developed, employing up to 100 people. Subsequently, some of the founders retired, leaving the company in the hands of Giacomo Bontempi, the great-grandfather of the current owners, and a brother Novaglia. 

During the war, the sons Pierino, Giuseppe, and Giovanni Bontempi joined the first generation of glaziers, and in 1945, they separated from Novaglia, remaining at the historic location of Via Villa Glori.

In the 1950s, Giacomo passed away, and in 1972, the brothers Giovanni and Pierino divided professionally: it was Giovanni Bontempi who continued the family tradition; he was joined by his sons Pietro and Paolo, the third generation of glaziers: thus, Vetraria Bresciana Bontempi was born. 

Today, the fourth generation has also become passionate about the family business and has joined, continuing the tradition and teachings of over a hundred years of history and work in the glass sector. 

The company is now a point of reference for the processing and installation of shower enclosures, balustrades, glass, artistic stained glass, crystals, and mirrors for both private and industrial use.
